Submissions

Life in Fins respects photographers and writers rights and will not claim copyright over photographs and writing submitted to lifeinfins.com. You will retain all rights to any photograph and writing you submit. Photographs and writing submitted via lifeinfins.com (such as for Photo Story and photo contests) is covered under these terms and conditions.

By submitting photographs and/or writing to Life in Fins, you acknowledge and agree that:

1. You are not violating any copyright laws
2. If copyrighted, you are the sole copyright holder of submitted photographs and/or writings
3. The photographs and/or writing have not been licensed any rights in the work that will conflict with the usage rights required by Life in Fins
4. Submitted photographs and/or writing do not include trademarks, contract rights, or any other intellectual property rights of any other third person or entity

You grant Life in Fins a perpetual royalty-free and nonexclusive right to:

1. Display the photograph and/or writing (fully or partially) on lifeinfins.com
2. Use the photograph and/or writing (fully or partially) on the internet and social media in support of ocean conservation and our mission
3. Retain a copy of your photographs and writing in Life in Fins archive.

Life in Fins will credit all photographs and writings with the author’s name when provided. Credit will not be attributed when photographs and/or writings are anonymously submitted.

You will be responsible for any claim made by any third party regarding your photograph and/or writing submission.
